Exor Studios released a new 16 minute gameplay video for their upcoming title due for release on the Xbox One, PS4 and on Steam for PC starting August 30th. The game will be available for only $19.99.

X-Morph: Defense is a hybrid game, mixing genres between the twin-stick shooter and tower defense strategy. The game features high levels of destructible environments, and “never before seen” levels of freedom when it comes to constructing levels in a tower defense game.

During the construction phase you’ll setup turrets and attempt to setup counter artillery to thwart the incoming enemy forces.

As showcased in the video above, you’ll be able to see where the enemy units will travel with the arrows situated on the ground.

You can attempt to waylay advances or change the function of the turrets using a quick-access GUI menu.

During the combat phase the aerial ship you use to lay down units and plot out your defensive measures also doubles as an aerial force of destructive nature.

You can upgrade the ship, fire on incoming convoys and units, and unleash a barrage of devastating fire power against human units attempting to destroy your alien war…
