Tawanka Elementary School And Bencardino Excavating Are Constructing A Temporary Basin And Parking Lot Expansion

Louis Bencardino Contractors has been hired by the Neshaminy School District to finalize construction of the temporary drainage basin at the Tawanka Elementary School at 2055 Brownsville Rd. in Lower Southampton Township. Additionally, Bencardino is completing construction of a new 59-space parking lot located next to the athletic field. These improvements are on schedule to be completed by December 2017.

This important project performed for the Neshaminy School District by Bencardino for the Tawanka Elementary School was performed safely, efficiently and is finishing on schedule. “The project consists of installing a perforated underground basin inside of the existing basin. The basin is perforated PVC pipe surrounded by ¾ clean washed stone. This allows for the water to perc naturally into the ground and when the ground gets saturated the overflow will flow into and fill the stone drainage system, channel through the overflow basin pipe when necessary and into the surrounding creeks. This helps with the water capacity control and flow into the municipal storm systems,” said Louis Bencardino, project manager at Bencardino Excavating.

Bencardino is nearly finished this important storm system upgrade and parking lot expansion for the Tawanka Elementary School in Lower Southampton Township Pennsylvania.
