SWAT team, investigators conduct search on Charleston’s West Side

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — Investigators raided two locations on Charleston’s West Side Thursday night.

Police tell WSAZ they were searching for two people, but neither was found during the search.

It happened in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue after investigators obtained search warrants.

Despite not finding the people they were looking for during the raid, officers found one of them later Thursday night.

That person has been arrested and is off the streets, according to police.

Their name and the name of the other person police were looking for have not been released.

It was a joint effort with the Charleston Police Department and Kanawha County Sheriff’s SWAT teams.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — Investigators conducted a raid Thursday night on the city’s West Side, Charleston Police say.

It was a joint effort with the Charleston Police Department and Kanawha County Sheriff’s SWAT teams.

It happened in the 100 block of Delaware Avenue after investigators obtained search warrants.

The warrants are sealed in the case so no details about the incident were being released Thursday evening.

Based on photos from witnesses at the scene, several people were detained, but there is no word about any arrests at this time.
