It has been just over a week since Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis suffered a season-ending ACL injury after an awkward landing against the Bucks.
The 7-foot-3 forward from Latvia had surgery on Tuesday. Come Wednesday, Porzingis broke his silence and appeared to be in good spirits.
Porzingis shared a photo from the ride home from the hospital along with an encouraging message.
On my way home from the hospital.
First of all I want to thank you for all the love and support.
Im attacking my rehab right away.
I truly believe that with consistent hard work, patience and positive attitude I’ll come back stronger, better and sharper than ever.
Much love ❤
The timetable for Porzingis’ return hasn’t been announced by the team. While it’s unlikely Porzingis will return in time for the start of the 2018-19 regular season, Knicks fans have to appreciate that post-surgery attitude.
