Concordia University Irvine names veterans resource center after alumnus killed in Afghanistan – Orange County Register

IRVINE — Concordia University Irvine renamed its resource center for student veterans after alumnus Matthew Thompson, a Green Beret killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.

The private Christian university held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Nov. 10, of the U.S. Staff Sgt. Matthew Thompson Veterans Resource Center, which provides academic resources for veterans and their children.
