In the aftermath of the recent hurricane that devastated parts of Florida, Big Dog Ranch Rescue jumped into action to help save pets affected by the storm. Volunteers transported cases of pet food and supplies to areas that were hit the hardest by this catastrophic hurricane. By plane, boat, and SUVs, the dedicated team made their way to the ravaged Florida Keys to help rescue pets in need.
Only weeks before, Big Dog Ranch Rescue took in pets left homeless following Hurricane Harvey in the Houston, Texas area. Staff and volunteers have worked selflessly to save as many pets as possible in the wake of these recent natural disasters, as they now turn their attention toward saving pets in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
Their valiant efforts have not gone unnoticed. To help them with their ongoing commitment to saving as many pets as possible, 1-800-PetMeds® team members visited Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee Groves to deliver $5,000 in the form of a merchandise credit along with boxes of dog biscuits, flea and tick prevention, and other supplies.
